Former NBA player Scot Pollard, who also appeared on the TV show Survivor, is waiting in the hospital for a heart transplant.

He played basketball in the NBA for more than ten years and even won a championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008.

Now, his tall stature is making it hard to find a donor heart that’s big enough for him.

He has been in intensive care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since February 6, 2024.

Pollard has a genetic condition that’s affecting his heart, and despite trying different treatments, he needs a transplant to survive.

He is hoping for a donor heart that matches his size and health needs. Until then, he’s staying in the hospital, hoping for the best outcome.
