A section of parents from the Riara Springs Girls’ has been forced to form a separate WhatsApp group to discuss the ongoing fiasco at the school over fears that their children might be victimized as a punishment for raising grievances against the learning institution and its Chief Principal, Mrs Jane Mulinge.

Speaking to us through an e-mail, a source who opted to stay anonymous revealed that their decision to join the private forum was inspired by increasingly hostile conditions in the official class WhatsApp group where they could no longer freely express themselves in the presence of extremely narrow-minded and opinion intolerant teachers.

The disheartened but well-informed insider goes on to divulge that ever since the story of emotional abuse and torture at the school went public, the panic-stricken management has not bothered to issue any statement to worried guardians in response to the incriminating allegations.

On the contrary, Principal Mulinge has embarked on an intensified search for learners suspected to have leaked the shocking information to their parents.

The hunt specifically targets girls in Form 3 and 4.

Some have reported receiving strange phone calls from their specific class teachers in an attempt to fish out those spreading the damning claims.

Thank you for allowing and helping parents expose the emotional abuse and torture going on at our daughters’ school.

A small group of trusted parents of the form 3 class affected have formed a separate chat group for fear of our children being victimized.

This is because we are unable to share freely in the official class group where the teachers present will immediately label and victimize our children.

Because the school has refused to provide a safe avenue for parents and children to resolve any matters, it has unfortunately come to engaging external parties so that the school and others read or hear from us!

And hearing they have done! They however have not issued any statement detailing corrective action that will be taken!

Instead, the class teacher to 3V has taken the path of contacting girls on their cell phones directly to fish out *who has been talking to their parents*.

This man is bullying minors and it is unacceptable.

What really happens to our children in this school?

Why did the principal ask parents to physically beat up teenage girls in front of their schoolmates?

Where is the pride in humiliating teenagers for suspicion of wanting to go home?” the parent writes.

Editor’s Note: Whatever is happening at Riara Springs Girls’ High School is totally disheartening and warrants an immediate and full investigation by relevant government agencies in conjunction with the Ministry of Education.

Officials under George Magoha’s ministry are either asleep or busy taking bribes.

The principal must realize that this matter is public and any victimization or harassment to anyone will lead us to launch a nationwide social media campaign and demand for her immediate arrest and prosecution. We want all issues raised to be resolved in a good way.
