She was among the very few people who worked at the helm of Kenol-Kobil when it was at its peak. She was the retail manager on the side of gas. Therefore, having all the privileges; Everlyn and the likes of Eugene and many others stole a lot of money because they were sitting on the development committee.
When Kenol-Kobil was almost running dry she left the company and was awarded Valley Arcade flagship which is strategically located to do business.
Everlyn is ruthless and whenever an opportunity arises, she doesn’t disappoint. Having all the clout and ‘links’ and connections from head office, she can do anything to the workers.
She has employed ‘divide and rule’ strategy to run the workers.
Workers are not even given an opportunity to raise any issue affecting them.
Attendants are treated like mere objects. When you come to work here at Rubis valley Arcade, the question is when you are going to be sacked not if.
Many people have been sacked under questionable and unclear circumstances.
We have written endless emails to the head office to no avail. I do believe that this is the best platform because I know you will air our predicaments together with others passing through the same.
Evelyn Kariuki having all the muscle, clout and machinations you can think of, she can do anything to influence the outcome of the award given at the end of every year by Rubis Energy. She scoops the reward almost every year.
She will sack an attendant just because he has accidentally mixed the products (intermingling of products).
Because jobs are scarce in Kenya she holds interviews almost every month because she will obviously sack someone anytime she so wish.

One of the attendants has had his head burnt by a radiator and just because he asked for compensation, he is being cornered to be sacked. Here if you go against the grain you are marked man.
