This is a brief article on putting things straight and in comical perspective on why good governance is great and goes along way.
Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto were re-elected, of course by the IEBC servers in 2017 to govern Kenya till 2022 when Uhuru will retire, maybe, and Ruto will try to battle it out with whoever will be on the ballot for the presidency.
As we are now tackling a crisis of unimaginable consequences, following the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the government that came to power with over 98 per cent of the votes is facing a moment in time where it is great to remember Lenin’s statement, “there are decades when nothing happens and then there are weeks where decades happen”.
Considering the prayer that were conducted for the country last Saturday, and the presidential directives that were issued today over those who fail to self-quarantine, that they’ll face the full force of the law. There’s something that is emerging.
How will a government that failed to obey court orders to open the IEBC servers enforce this directive?
How will a government whose officials fail to obey court and parliamentary summons even enforce such a directive?
In a state that has worked so hard over the last 6 years to destroy the rule of law, how can anything even be done perfectly? (it took the intervention of a KQ staff to point out the China and Kenya had lied about suspending flights).
How many times have travel bans been given?
1. Uhuru issued one on March 15th
2. Yesterday Mutahi Kagwe repeated it complete with a new date.
Is there need to repeat if the govt really is in control and follows the law of the land.
Through anonymous tips and online sources, Kenyans have been made aware that certain high-level govt officials travelled to countries that are struggling to contain coronavirus pandemic.
Worse still, the Deputy Governor for Kilifi County Gideon Saburi travelled came back and failed to self-quarantine and now a host of leaders who came into contact with him, some old enough to be wiped out by the first cough, are shaking in their pants.
Online sources show a lot of leaders came into contact with the reckless Kilifi Deputy Governor, through a chain of meetings.
We state their names here for purposes of education only, and we urge that they self-quarantine for 21 days.
It is alleged that Kilifi Deputy Governor met his boss Amason Kingi, Kingi met Mombasa Governor aspirant Sulleiman Shabhal who in turn shook hands with ODM Party Chief Raila Odinga who also interacted with President Uhuru , William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka etc during the national prayer sessions.
Lock this country down to save it

Now, how do we arrest these people if they fail to follow the self-quarantine directive?
Anyways, by not seeing them in pubic, it might mean they have self-quarantined.
However, some like KRA Commissioner General, it was reported to us that he and some of his top guys went to work as usual after coming from Covid-19 inested countries.
Will he be arrested?
My point is, in the whole drama where the govt wants only to arrest and gag bloggers, while leaving the real carriers of the disease roaming free, it is the Kenyan people that’ll suffer.
A government that has never upheld the rule of law, a regime that killed and maimed protestors who were calling for electoral reforms and good governance has finally reached the end.
The wrung to the ladders of incompetence, corruption, murder, deceit, lies and harassment has finally run out.
Where will Jubilee run to?
From now on I guess it’ll be easier to arrest small people and not those like KRA CG, PwC and KPMG bosses who continue to flout quarantine directives.
Kenya goes to lockdown, Kenya economy collapses.
The wrung to the ladder of cartelic behaviour has finally run out.
Coronavirus might be the moment we have all been waiting for.
A final nail on the elitist, illiterate and ignorant Kenyan leadership.
We thank Bildad Kaggia!
{If we don’t quarantine, no matter how powerful we are, we are going to be in deep shit where a lot of people will die, no leader will be allowed to fly out for treatment, it is even a good time to remember what Medical personnel, who were thrown in prison, were crying for a few years ago. Revamp our systems. It is not easy, but it can be done. First, start by following the law, or appearing from now on to do it. It might help.}
