Miguna’s vehicle a Mercedes E-class was taken by officers believed to be from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in South B this afternoon.
The policemen who brandished walkie-tokies intimidated the PA Ferdinand Ogumah to stop and asked him to drive to the police station where they took the vehicle and retained it.
The four men believed to be detectives said they have to do investigations on the vehicle.
Everybody, especially me knows that that’s a ploy to make life hard for Miguna when he comes back to Kenya.
In 2016, DCI took away my car and tretined it for months on the guise that they are doing investigations.
This crooked Moi-era style intimidation of free citizens should end.
Didn’t the president say that ‘“I have heard that some people are now planning to fly into the country. Let them come because that is their freedom.”
The Jubilee govt must respect the rule of law. The court ordered that Miguna’s passport be returned and he be returned to Kenya.
There are 13 court orders in favor of the lawyer.
Miguna has accused the DCI of wanting to install tracking devices on his vehicle.
‘To Director of Criminal Investigations Kinoti: At around 12:30PM today, 5 heavily-armed Flying Squad officers now calling themselves “Special Service Unit” ILLEGALLY SEIZED my vehicle from Ferdinand Ogumah in Nairobi and detained it, most likely to install SURVEILLANCE DEVICES. Release my vehicle!’, Miguna wrote.
