Following this site’s exposé of chemicals additive that preserve DPL Festive breads for more than a month, which should not be the norm, the firm has responded dismissing the allegations.
DPL Festive in its response denies claims that their bread is mixed with dangerous chemicals such as fomalin which preserve the bread for longer.
‘A recent publication that was posted under twitter handle @LilKoirna as well as a bldg posted on 30.12.19 under, cnyakundi.com, claim that our bread has harmful chemicals such as fomalin added that preserve the bread for over a month. We would like to state that first, DPL Festive Ltd sources the finest ingredients for baking our bread that are vetted and approved by KEBS’, part of the company’s statement said.
The one thing that DPL Festive missed is to reach to us asking us where the offending bread are sold so that they can do their own checks and arrest the culprits; maybe those breads are made from light industries which is known to make counterfeit things.
By threatening the Twitter handle owner and this blog, they are commiting a grave mistake.
Cnyakundi.com will continue in its detective works, currently collecting information on the company, its human resource malpractices, the issue of dangerous additives in bread and financial impropriety.
What has for example, the company done to ensure all the breads sold under its name are genuine?
