DJ Mo and Size 8 know all about the trauma and heartache that follows a miscarraige because even though the couple were blessed with a baby boy in November 2019, the year before in December 2018 Size 8 miscarried.
The resilience the couple showed after the tragedy was admirable. I recently spoke to DJ Mo and asked him how he had been able to move on from that dark period and what advice he had for people like Willis Raburu and his wife, Marya Prude who also suffered a painful miscarriage.
The Crossover 101 host explained that Raburu was a very close friend of his saying,
Raburu is a very good friend of mine. All I can tell him is to hold on tighter than before and trust in God as there is nothing much they can do. They have to make sure they get closer together in this period than they were before.
He also spoke about his own experience dealing with the miscarriage saying that they had moved on from the dark episode through prayer and getting closer than they were before.
You have to be tighter than before. That’s the secret. If you don’t you can break up as you will blame each other. A miscarriage can happen from so many things; from stress, drinking, going out. A myriad of things. People tend to break apart at such times.
DJ Mo also said that faith had a big part to play, saying that when talking about the vicissitudes of life, God was very integral in the couple moving on from the miscarriage.
He summarized the conversation by saying that the terrible experience had drawn the couple closer.
