A fourth-year student at the Masinde Muliro University (MMUST) has succumbed to injuries sustained after an attack by thugs.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the death of MOSES MULI a fourth year student who until his demise was pursuing Bachelor of Education Arts (Maths/ Business Studies option.)
The late MOSES was attacked by thugs on Saturday evening at around 8:00pm when he was going to buy supper and was rushed to hospital by some wellwishers who also reported the incident to the police. He succumbed to injuries yesterday evening while undergoing treatment at Kakamega Teaching and Referral Hospital.
The MMUSO Leaders together with a senior administrator in the office of the Dean of students and representatives from the MMUST Security department visited his house to meet his friends and get a clear picture on what exactly transpired.
We have taken it upon ourselves to make a follow up with the relevant security bodies to ensure that justice is administered and the culprits brought to book. The students’ affairs department through the office of the Dean of students will also cater for the logistics to ensure that he is given a decent sendoff.
Even as the case is being handled, comrades are Urged to be careful especially at night hours and avoid walking alone as OUR SECURITY STARTS WITH US. We will continue updating you on the progress.
