The father of self-professed serial killer Masten Wanjala has broken the silence over his son’s controversial escape from police custody.
Speaking to journalists at his home on Thursday, October 14, 2021, Robert Wanjala asserted he was yet to see his wanted son ever since he went missing from the Jogoo Road police station.
Additionally, Mr Wanjala has urged detectives to hasten their investigations and quickly get to the bottom of how Masten managed to break away from a protected facility.

This comes on the same day three police officers attached to Jogoo Police Station were arrested over Masten Wanjala’s escape.
The group was picked up by their colleagues from the Nairobi Regional Criminal Investigations Office and will be arraigned in court to answer relevant charges.
Wanjala escaped from the police station on Tuesday evening, October 12 under unclear circumstances.
Initial reports indicated that the self-confessed serial killer escaped during a power outage that hit the station from afternoon to past 8 pm on the said day but detectives raised concerns about the timing of the incident.
The suspect was to be arraigned at the Makadara Law Court on Wednesday, October 13 where he was to answer 13 counts of murder.
