Disgruntled agents at a local advertising firm based in Hurlingham, Nairobi County, have come out guns blazing against a West African-run civic and social organization, “RaHa Solutions” which has failed to disburse remittance after enlisting their services during a recently concluded project.
Writing to this blog on Friday, July 1, a staffer revealed that the finance department at “Gap Marketing” – the firm which handed them the gig under a sub-contract – has been taking them round in circles for over two months.
None of them is yet to receive payment for the hard work they did.
“Good evening Nyakundi.
There is a certain company we have been working for and hasn’t paid us for two months now.
We were employed by Gap Marketing based in Hurlingham but were working for Raha Solutions, which is a non-government charitable organization operated by some guys from West Africa.
One of them is named Kadu Titi.
Please help us demand our dues.
They are not saying anything kutuzungusha tu every time.
One of the directors is Cynthia Kemuma,” the source wrote.
A quick search on the internet presents RaHa Solutions as a privately held NGO that targets Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) like access to clean water, toilets and sanitary towels, schools, and roads in low-income areas.
Their activities are mainly donor-funded, hence it makes no sense why they have refused to settle the dues as agreed.
It is such a shame that a company which ironically purports to offer “solutions” is causing significant problems to the unpaid workers.
