Evidently the practitioners now in government have the arrogance, greed and perhaps a desperate sense of panic to lead them to eat like gluttons. But they can hardly expect us not to care when their gluttony causes them to vomit all over our shoes – Sir Edward Clay, UK High Commissioner to Kenya, 2001 – 2005
I have often told youths to use their brains to think instead of sing their head to carry teeth.
This morning, an identified man chained himself to the fence of City Hall building, Nairobi County Government Headquarters, threatening to commit suicide if he will not be allowed to see President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The Governor of Nairobi posted the pictures of the man with the caption, ‘Whoever is near city hall. Huyu jamaa ako hapo sai anasema kama haoni President uhuru sai anajinyonga. One word for him’.
This is lack of compassion for a youth who suffers under they yoke of a tyrannical government that has never and still doesn’t show them love.
Unemployment is at an all time high.
Suicide rates is at an all time high.
Food prices are at an all time high. The basic and staple food for Kenyan, Maize is retailing near Kshs, 130 from Kshs, 90 two weeks earlier. and this si all a leader can think of.
Shame on you Mike Sonko.
Corruption is at an all time high.
Leaders under the Jubilee regime (2013 – 2022) have amassed wealth by openly looting the coffers of the state with reckless abandon.
They are filled to the brim like greedy hyenas and to use the words of the Great British Envoy Sir. Edward Clay, ‘Evidently the practitioners now in government have the arrogance, greed and perhaps a desperate sense of panic to lead them to eat like gluttons. But they can hardly expect us not to care when their gluttony causes them to vomit all over our shoes”.
F*ck you Mike Sonko.
Youths stand up now because every person has the right to peaceably and unarmed, to assemble, to demonstrate, to picket, and to present petitions to public authorities’ (Article 37 of the Constitution of Kenya)
