On Tuesday, City Lawyer Ahmednasir told President Uhuru Kenyatta to fire KRA Commissioner Njiraini for flouting civil service rule.
Ahmednasir shared a picture with a newspaper story alleging that the KRA boss is engaged in wrangles over a Ksh. 1.3 billion company where he owns owns shares.
H.E UHURU can confirm in minutes whether the allegations that KRA boss owns offshore companies are true or false and if confirmed in the affirmative fire Njiraini by 4 PM today…if not H.E UHURU should shut up for good about corruption in HIS government @UKenyatta pic.twitter.com/d2x08Mwq2P

The story from a local daily magazine states that Njiraini is engaged in a bitter feud for control of Space and Styles Limited, a tiles manufacturing company.
The other partner in the company, a Mr. Wambugu accuses the KRA Boss of using his position to intimidate him.
According to court documents, Njiraini owns 5000 ordinary shares using an off-shore company Decamis Limited.
Njiraini’s tenure in office ended in September 2017 but was later extended for a year beginning February 2018.
Recent media reports showed that Njiraini had been ‘locked out of his office’.
However, in a statement, the board at KRA led by Ambassador Francis Muthaura said that he ‘was still in charge’, till June 2019.
Some analysts say the move was aimed at giving the KRA chief ample time to ‘put his house (businesses) in order’.
