With the Kenya Premier League campaign set to resume over the weekend after the Football Kenya Federation Cup weekend, AFC Leopards striker John Makwata is top on the scorers list.
The former Ulinzi Stars man has amassed 12 goals in the league this season. This means he has scored half of the goals Leopards have managed in the top tier this season.
Makwata’s goals have come in 15 appearances where he has bagged a brace three times and has a hat-trick to his name.
He is followed by Timothy Otieno who has netted nine goals for league leaders Tusker FC. KCB’s Enock Agwanda has eight goals in the campaign.
Five played have scored seven goals this season and they include Peter Thiongó of Homeboyz, Western Stima’s Benson Omalla, Enosh Ochieng and Oscar Wamalwa of Ulinzi Stars and Ellie Asieche.
Allan Wanga, Francis Nambute, and Collins Wakhungu have six goals each while five players have five goals.
