As you can see on the picture, the road has been under construction almost to completion.
Footpath is done on one side ONLY, drainage is done on one side ONLY, water pipe runs on the same power line as well.
The greatest issue of concern though is that some power poles are standing on the footpath path hence Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company (NWSC) pipe runs on someone’s plot and the footpath (as in pic) is less than 2 feet wide.
This point is on a mound, and the effect then is at one point a pedestrian has to walk on the road, this really poses serious risk to road users.
So, Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KRA), Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), NWSC & the contractor is non committal to facilitate pole relocation.
The road links Kagundo road at Chokaa to Eastern bypass through Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church in Mihang’o.
