Hi Cyprian,
I wish to bring to the limelight the issue of nepotisim in employment perpetuated by Public Service Board of Kisii County.
The speaker, MCA Apepo and the finance CEC Mr. Onderi are in the process of employing their relative Jeriah to the board.
The governor Ongwae has also appointed his relative from Kitutu North one Mr. Bogonko.
These appointments are against the wishes of the Kisii people at large; and since it’s against the peoples wishes.
Knowing his crime and in order to escape the prying eyes of those who know it, he picked the names and forwarded to speaker in a sealed envelop to be opened and tabled in the assembly in his absence.
This is unacceptable.
How can one constituency have the position for two terms at the expense of other constituencies?
Kitutu North had a representative in the expired board. It would have been fair to let other constituencies represent for this term.
Kitutu Chache North has majority of the people working in the county government. They have several directors and hold plum jobs at the county. They look down upon all other people.
As we are speaking, the speaker and clerk want to present the names to county assembly with all the flaws and lack of representation.
Please bring this to the light.
EACC
Two years ago, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) stormed the Kisii County Public Service Board (CPSB) and confiscated computers and crucial documents to investigate allegations of employment irregularities.
The anti-graft agency had received complaints that officials at the county were employing their relatives, friends and political supporters.
Even as the investigation seems to have hit a dead end, thanks to bribes, Cnyakundi.com has learnt how thieving Kisii County Governor James Ongwae pocketed Ksh57 million allocated to the County government seven years ago meant for construction of a market place at Suneka area, Kisii County.
