A section of frustrated personnel at BM Security Ltd are up in arms against the well-known integrated security solutions provider over unpaid wages.
Speaking to cnyakundi.com on Saturday, May 14, one of the employees lamented how the unprecedented delay has led to adverse negative effects on their lives amidst the rising cost of living.
Apparently, the company has only been honouring salaries for guards assigned to reputable institutions like banks and parastatals which are considered “sensitive assignments”.
The rest are forced to survive on insufficient peanuts that can barely sustain them and their families.
This leads most of them into deep debts in a desperate attempt to survive the city and its harsh conditions.
When writing to us, our source sadly disclosed that on the morning of Friday, May 13, his landlord grew impatient with daily excuses and locked him out of the house over an uncleared rent balance.
To make matters worse, when he called BM Security’s main office to inform them of the unfortunate event, they rudely told him off and said there was nothing they could do about it.
He was advised to keep waiting for his wages which would be disbursed at an unspecified date.
Yesterday the landlord came and closed my family outside I called our office and they did nothing about it.
“Good morning Sir,
Hide my identity, please.
I work with BM Security Company and up to date, we’ve not been paid.
Yesterday the landlord came and closed my family outside I called our office and they did nothing about it.
They only pay guards who are working in banks, parastatals calling them sensitive assignments.
Some of us are really suffering in that company.
They’ve subjected us to debts the moment you feel to leave you to remember you have got a debt you need to pay.
This company has forced us to be beggars.
I am not tarnishing the company name I swear that is the real situation on the ground.
Just ask any BM guard who will be honest with you.
He/she will tell you the same thing.
Please speak for us.
We are weak.
We are tired.
We are suffering at the hands of our own,” the source writes.
BM Security was founded in 1984 and operates a national network coordinated by its control centre in Nairobi.
They boast of branches in Mombasa, Nakuru, Nyeri, Eldoret and Kisumu.
