A taxi driver in Nairobi became social media’s trending topic on Monday, 13 September, 2021, following the emerge of an appalling video which captured him being assaulted by a group of three drunk and rowdy ladies over the weekend.
In the one-minute clip which quickly went viral, the “Bolt” cab driver identified as Binto Kelvin was involved in a heated altercation with the scantily-dressed female passengers who shortly began hurling stones at him while aiming some at the car.
According to the driver who later spoke through a Facebook post, trouble began when he cancelled the trip and ejected two of the three ladies after they began misbehaving in his car.
“Two entered into my Kadudu and started kissing, caressing and being all lesbian as we waited for a third party,” he wrote in part.
Apart from assaulting him, they also destroyed some of Kelvin’s most crucial documents including his driving license and a copy of his car’s sales agreement.
One of the unruly lesbians whose mobile phone number was shared by Kelvin has since been identified as Leah Murithi Kamanda.
Netizens have now called upon the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) among other relevant departments to move in and take appropriate action on the three perpetrators.
