Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has recounted how he escaped death during Kibra by-election after he was confronted by the ODM youths who were in support of Raila’s ODM votes.
The former senator was in the constituency to ‘guard’ Jubilee’s McDonald Mariga’s votes and was forced to hurl stones to the rivals.
The riveting scenario, captured on camera and video, kicks off with Khalwale assembling arsenals for the duel. He goes about the ritual meticulously like a professional backstreet goon.
Holding the rocky in his hands at the back, the vocal politician carefully monitors the unfolding volatile situation at the polling center.
Like an expert that he is, in matters streetwise, he singles out an opponent and starts unleashing a cycle of missiles in quick succession.
Jubilee brigade led by deputy president William Ruto and Macdonald Mariga on Friday attended the thanksgiving ceremony in Kibra.
Mariga was traunched by the ODM candidate Imra Okoth.
On his facebook post on Saturday, Khalwale posted a photo together with Deputy president recounting how he survived.
“A nostalgic moment to reflect on. Attended McDonald Mariga thanksgiving and said thank you Lord for making it possible for me to cheat death at the hands of ODM goons,” He posted.
Earlier, Khalwale had disclosed he was left with no option other than to defend himself against the youths who had turned violent and were baying for his blood.
