The International Criminal Court (ICC) judges on Friday allowed ICC Chief Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, to publish/ make public the evidence she had against President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In their ruling, the Judges gave Bensouda authority to publish evidence the Prosecution intended to use to try Uhuru Kenyatta before she filed a notice to withdraw the case saying what she had could not sustain a trial.
Last year, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s defense team protested the publication of the evidence after the Prosecution indicated its intention to make it public.
But the Judges rejected Uhuru’s application saying Kenyans have a right to know what sort of evidence the prosecutor had when she indicted Kenyatta and when she released him.
However, the Judges urged Bensouda to redact any evidence that may be sensitive to Kenyans before she publishes it.
This is a big blow to President Uhuru Kenyatta since Kenyans will now see the evidence Bensouda had against him. DOWNLOAD IT DOWN HERE
