Though the auditor General Edward Ouko gave the corrupt former Permanent Secretary for Ministry of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security of Kenya Francis Kimemia and Nyandarua County a clean bill of health. Corruption in terms of infrastructure development bedevils the county.
Even after Ouko made the statement that Nyandarua is clean, resident of the county shared that all was not well in the county.
Some posted that Nyandarua ‘county books must have been cooked’.
In the former administration, a Chief Financial Officer Mr. Michael Kamau Kuria, siphoned county funds (over Kshs. 180 million) for personal enrichment. Is this behavior a thing of the past in the Nyandarua County now?
Don’t forget that Francis Kimemia was suspended as secretary to the cabinet, alleged to be have presided over a Sh1 billion tender irregularity while serving as the permanent secretary in the Interior ministry
Here below, we received a complaint about a road that has taken over 2 years to build; it is not complete yet.
Good evening Cyprian, Sauti ya munyonge,
Kindly put on spot the greedy contractors (apparently related to area politician)and governor of Nyandarua county for delayed road project in Ol Kalau CBD.
Believe it or not, less than 2 km road is being constructed since 2015.
After every 2 weeks heavy machine are seen pouring water on the earth road.
The cost of fuel and water per week is over Kshs. 500,000, this contractor has eaten enough for the owner to notice.
Ironically parking area in same CBD was done in less than a month since this generates income directly to the county.
Last year, the grievances were aired to deputy president, William Ruto, who issued warning to the contractor. This warning landed on deaf ears.
For How long will Nyandarua wait for this road to be completed?
For How long will politicians take us for a ride?
The cry of Nyandaruans must be heard.
