Flamboyant city lawyer Donald B. Kipkorir is a man known to be vocal on both local and international politics.
The 51-year-old is one of Kenya’s most active and influential personalities on social media, and his Twitter account with over 640,000 followers is full of opinionated posts which often spark controversy.
Sunday evening was no different as the internationally recognized attorney descended upon Deputy President William Ruto and his Tanga Tanga faction of Jubilee Party, accusing them of being cowards and desperately clinging on to the false hope that they are still part of Uhuru’s government.
According to him, if Ruto and his team feel they no longer read from the same book with the other members of the party, then they should resign.
In Westminster Democracy which Kenya is, when a Member of the ruling party is no longer in tandem with the Leader of the Party, they resign … But in Kenya, TangaTanga wing of Jubilee have been kicked out of Government but are clinging on TBT videos for therapeutic support.

Netizens, including his fellow learned friend, Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi, were quick to respond.
The former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President argued that although he was in agreement with Kipkorir’s remarks, for that rule to be fairly applied, the other side of the coin – in this case, Kenya’s Raila-led opposition joining government – has to be addressed.
Further stating that since citizens elected ODM Party the opposition to Jubilee, then its members should resign as well since they seem to be part of government these days.
Kipkorir maintained that it is the responsibility of those who lose confidence in a party’s leadership to resign, adding that there is nothing wrong in the government fishing for support from the opposition.
Don..you raise a valid point..but for it to have a holistic rational validation please address the converse..which is that odm was elected to be the opposition to JUBILEE govt..Now that it has joined govt, when was the decision made? And why dont members resign & get new mandate?

As I have opined elsewhere, it’s the moral obligation of Party Members who no longer have confidence in their leader to resign …. And it’s the prerogative of the Party Leader to fish for support from Opposition. ODM has answered the call. Your TangaTanga wing are cowards.

They are busy licking Uhuru’s feet by heaping praises on him saying yeye ni mungwana, instead of apologising for having defied his orders to stop early campaigns. It might be too late the horse may have bolted already.

Having a different opinion from your boss doesn’t necessarily mean you are against the boss. #Democracy. Do you want the DP to be a YES man the way Kalonzo used to be when he was VP?!!!

Hanging on to past pronouncements. When a marriage goes sour, you don’t post videos of your spouse reciting the marriage vows and imagine that is the current state of affairs. Learn to accept and move on.

Wakili, I have always known you for courage in mentioning people’s names, here you seem to fear to say Kipchumba Murkomen is posting tbt videos to earn therapeutic support

To finish off the onslaught, he ridiculed how his former buddy William Ruto and his political allies packaged Uhuru as “God’s choice” in the 2017 general election, asking Tanga Tanga why they are rebelling against very same leader they purported was anointed by the almighty.
In 2017, everyday, they reminded us that leaders are chosen by God & that Uhuru Kenyatta was God’s choice …. So, why has TangaTanga rebelled against God’s choice? In the Bible, God never forgave & smote those who rebelled against His choices. Is TangaTanga inviting God’s wrath?

Kipkorir’s tweets come at a time when the divisions within Jubilee Party continue to be exposed.
The latest being a story on a local daily where it was revealed that Ruto was forced to look for accommodation at English Point Marina in Nyali, after he was kicked out of his official residence in Mombasa.
According to the Sunday Nation, that evening at around 4 p.m, he retreated to the residence, where he found staff packing his personal belongings, which had been lodged there earlier in the day in anticipation that he would spend the night there.
The paper adds that the DP was taken aback by the turn of events and, upon further inquiry, was told that government staff had received instructions to remove Mr Ruto’s personal effects from the house.
Here is how other Kenyans reacted to DBK’s fiery posts.

The notion of Uhuru being God chosen does not have its root in the bible, it was just Hosanna song sang to put the son of Jomo to sleep as Ruto grabbed parcels of land left, right and center.
