A 13-year-old class one pupil from Kindu Primary School was defiled in and impregnated in Awendo area, Migori County.
The girl who is believed to be mentally unstable and underwent a pregnancy test in the company of her grandmother and the results were positive.
Police have now launched a manhunt for the culprit who the victim clearly identified.
The young girl says the unfortunate incident took place at a stream near the area.
According to the pregnancy results, the incident happened about a month ago and Migori police boss Joseph Nthenge has promised to nab the suspect.
