A few days ago, we exposed how Anestar Group of Schools plays students and parents to shore its position during exams, particularly the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examinations (KCSE).
More parents, former students and those in the know have come forth with fresh information.
“And something that happened immediately schools were closed, our principal Mr Maina asked all students to pay ksh.1000 so that he can bring exams for us almost 3/4 of the students paid and by the time we were starting our exam we had not seen any exam paper were asked the principal what happened he said that the person he was working with from KNEC has refused to give out the exam and he has been able to get only practical questions of which the question our sciences teacher had predicted when they were asked to prepare the lad with the apparatus and reagents. As I told you before were separated students who did their exams from the victory were told they will have to for the money they had given out to the principal if he returns the money and students from Anestar victory boys who did their exams in Anestar mountain we refused to what the principal was saying and he gave us ksh.500 every student who give him money. When we were done with our exams were we returned to Anestar victory boys and all parents were asked to come for their students and we paid Ksh.2000 since we were given back Ksh.500 by the principal, for the students who did their exams in victory they never paid anything”, confessed a parent.
Even as new information streamed in, Madam Gatimu, the owner of the school is said to have boastfully told a congregation that he has a lot of money and that she’ll live well even if she closes all the schools.
“No problem, madam Gatimu so-called Mom she says, “I have a lot of money that even if I close all Anestar schools I and my family will have no problems.” Plus, it pains me a lot and other students when we see students enrolled in Anestar knowing what happens there”, cnyakundi.com was told.
A former student wrote this, “Nilifanya exam Anestar this year and I have read what you have published. What you never know about the school is that according to them and I quote what your principal said, “What this people of KNEC do not understand stand the owner of the school is carrying out business” ‘word from principal Mr Maina Anestar victory boys Lanet’ when I was admitted, my parents took me to Anestar victory boys but during exam’s, I was taken to Anestar mountain where I did my exam, and out students from Anestar boy’s were taken to Anestar victory boys. students who did exams from Anestar victory boys were smart than those who did from Anestar mountain”.
“Hello, Cyprian. Anestar high school Lanet has really killed the dreams of our sons. It has been a hell but we were just keeping our sons for its performance which didn’t happen this year. It has been extorting money from us especially when the boys burnt the dorm in November we are been forced to buy new uniforms for our boys even those who sat for the exam this march. Imagine they have completed without being given those uniforms. Isn’t that robbery?”, a parent complained.
It appears like the School’s administration has been suppressing the ills happening at the school through threats.
An anonymous source wrote the following, “Thanks for making our voices as Anestar victims heard. I don’t know who your source is but mwambie asante sana”.
Another added, “how it has taken over 6 years for the truth to come out defeats me”.

“I studied here for 4 years and all i can tell is I hate this school”, Lewis_Ke wrote on Twitter.
‘Good morning i am a parent from anester victory and all you revealed is true. Can you imagine even the index number my son used is different from the one his teacher sent us. And I’m very disappointed coz we’ve being sending his index number to safaricom and getting no results. Kindly compare this two. What he used in school was (deleted). And from the teacher is (deleted). Wamekua wakituzungusha since Saturday it was only yesterday that they sent us his results which we know he could have performed better. Kindly don’t disclose his grades. For mr maina the reason he refunded the 500 was because students had planned to beat him up and to expose them. It’s really painful but I know God will fight for our children’, a parent confessed.
“Students had to make long lines to pass water in buckets from a river near the school, also we had to pass building stones to the building site..what a hell hole..there’s was even one dormitory called “the mortuary” I could not take it anymore and refused to be whipped na nyahunyo. And then he wants to whip you na nyahunyo, “Hell no you are not going to whip me – usiniguze” I told him “at that point he got scared and confused At the back of my head I had decided I would rather become a street kid than endure this hellhole of a school called Anestar. So much money spent…after two months I couldn’t endure this hell hole ..you. Sleep at 11 and wake up at 3 am, food is not enough, 8 bathrooms for 1000 people , drunk teachers, imagine even there was no playing field, at the time the owner was building his house students forced. Imagine being forced to wake up at 3 am, somehow you fall asleep and this sick teacher whips you on the head and then takes you out and has you remove your shirt and sleep on the cold grass at this time and don’t forget its in Nakuru so cold for 2 whole hours. I was a victim of these sick bastards in 2012…I joined form 2 after my parents saw the highly fake KCSE pass of students However I soon discovered the trick and realized we had been fooled, I tried to tell my parents but they did not want to believe me also they had spent so much. Students had to make long lines pass water buckets from the river and pass building stones….we had to get water from a river near the school…one dormitory was even called “the mortuary” I tried to endure but I couldn’t take it anymore so I one day I refused to be whipped.”, ErickEricker posted.
How cooking exams like Anestar affects Kenyan students abroad
Most foreign embassies e.g. @USEmbassyKenya, @UKinKenya @GermanyinKenya are advising their universities not to give scholarships to Kenyans & all academic credentials from Kenya are no longer valid in their countries. Crooks in Kenya now buy exam grades. Remember the fake nurses?
