Jumia online store is a scam.
I participated in their black Friday yesterday (7th November, 2019) and became very disappointed.
It left me wondering is this organization is a scam, but I when I came across your article, I understood more.
This is what happened to me:
I purchased some things on Black Friday. After putting all best deals items in the cart, when I wanted to check out, first they brought the pick station that I have never heard of and it’s very far from my place. I knew suspected that this was done so as to discourage me and arm-twist me to use their delivery service which costs more.
Anyways, in defiance I picked the station.
They normally have options of paying on delivery but thinking I wouldn’t have money in my MPESA, they only brought the option of paying cash but then I followed through and now next it came to the part to input my MPESA pin and their system miraculously skipped that part and brought confirmation that my order was successful, see attachment below, that was around midnight today.
After a few minutes, I went to my orders to track them and to my surprise, they had cancelled the orders saying payment was not completed.
When I tried reordering the same products from my cart, the message came back that they are all sold out.
I was very disappointed.
Please deal with these thugs.
