Hello Nyakundi,
Thanks for the great work you are doing by exposing the corporate frauds and the cartels. Kindly help me expose this anonymously.
Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) introduced a smart card concept where all students were required to apply. The institution partnered with KCB and all the students submitted the requirements at a fee of 500/- each.
The problem is the institution deliberately delayed the process until all the then final years have completed their studies. About 3,000 students graduated last year implying that someone pocketed a cool Ksh 1.5 M without even sweating.
I tried to ask about the matter with a finance officer at the institution but there was no reply. Someone needs to take responsibility for conning students their cash since they are not planning on refunding them.
Another issue with MMUST is once you’ve cleared they don’t refund you the caution money as required. They tell you to leave your bank details with them and they will credit to your account but they don’t. Guys cleared in Jan this year but up to now they are still waiting for their caution money.
