Nairobi Technical Training Institute (NTTI) is a middle level college that offers Training Courses up to Diploma level.
The college offers Technical Training in Engineering Information Technology that are important tools to the realization of Kenya Vision 2030.
As with most things government, NTTI’s management seems to have looted or not received the funds that the government earmarked for it.
The editor of this site received the below information:
Dear Le President,
Thank you for the perfect work you are doing in exposing injustices of the nation.
Please help the big number of youths who were recruited by the government in the program of youth empowerment through KUCCPS (KENYA UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES PLACEMENT SERVICE). They recruited many youths to training institutions and they were supposed to remit the tuition fee and the HELB portal was to assist them apply for the remaining amount.
Since then,
- No money has been remitted and we dont know where the money is stuck.
- The portal was closed when it opened the youths were excluded in benefiting from help and they come from extremely poor backgrounds.
The Nairobi institute has told the youths to now pay for themselves in short notice or else they will not be allowed to sit for exams.
The institute has further asked the youth to be paying admission fee every year.
They asked the youths to pay an admission fee of Kshs. 10k, which was not in the letter when they were being admitted as 1st years.
