The British Broadcasting Cooperation [BBC] has this afternoon reported that the cockpit voice recorder and the digital voice recorder from the ill-fated Boeing 737 Max have been recovered.
Experts have said it’s too early to declare what exactly caused the tragic crash that killed 157 people, 32 of which were Kenyan.
The aircraft is reported to have come down near the town of Bishoftu, 60km (37 miles) South-East of Addis Ababa at 08:44 local time (05:44 GMT).
The cause of the disaster is yet to be established but according to the BBC who quoted the Ethiopian Airlines, the pilot had reported difficulties and had asked to return to Addis Ababa minutes before the crash.
More details on this matter to follow.
