On Friday, May 20, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) described how Samuel Mugoh Muvota, who was murdered and died along Mirema Drive, picked clubs for his illicit enterprises.
The late is believed to have enlisted the services of over 50 women who were stationed in different urban centres to steal from visitors in prominent entertainment venues.
The DCI christened the women “Basmati Babes”, unmasking their faces to Kenyans who could not keep their calm as the escapades of the criminal syndicate were brought to light.
As most of the group’s members continue retreating to the villages where they sought refuge after scampering away from the city, ‘online detectives’ have been working around the clock to gather as much information about the voluptuous ‘Mchele Terrorists’ as possible.
Thus far, a curious section of the public has already identified “Christine” as one of the underwhelmingly average looking ladies whose portrait was among those shared by the DCI on Thursday.
Intelligence from reliable corridors has strongly placed the lass in yellow as a close relative of Embakasi Central Member of Parliament (MP) Benjamin Gathiru Mwangi, alias ‘Meja Donk’.
Circulating reports on the ground suggest that the legislator has kept the suspect closely under his wraps and rumoured to openly protect her whenever her unlawful undertakings land her in trouble.
As the DCI earlier noted, most of the mentioned ladies have had previous run-ins with the law but somehow always manage to evade prosecution, with their anonymous benefactors bailing them out each time.
Christine is reported to be married to a certain Kalenjin cop based in Mombasa.
According to authorities, the women were trained to pick out wealthy targets from a crowd of revellers by monitoring their behaviour, drinks of choice, and dressing.
Club Switch in Kasarani, Whisky River along Kiambu road, Red Lion in Ruaka, Oklahoma Choma Zone, Lacascada, Aroma, Backroom, Mkwanju, Dragon, and all the clubs along Kamiti road from Roysambu, 44, and Zimmerman were among the most targeted.
