A Twitter user Kanguchu (@KanguchuV) has exposed how Safaricom Plc has been taking a firm associated with his family in circles over work done in Bungoma County in 2017.
“In 2017 my brother under his company (MAJ GROUP AFRICA LIMITED) built two Safaricom masts in bungoma: CHEMONGE, WN0763-O-A SIMAKOLA, WN0763-O-A However his dues (Sh3million) haven’t been paid despite many attempts to reach”, he began
The claims which were backed up by screenshots of conversation between the lad and the Telco, we learn that Safaricom has been non-committal in paying for the services rendered.
This has caused much anguish to Maj Group Africa Limited.
“I tried contacting Safaricom on twitter where they promised to contact us back via their email which they never did,” he added.
In one screenshot, the lad told Safaricom the following:
“My brother John Maina an engineer built two of your masts using his company (Maj Group Africa) in Bungoma in 2017 via Linksoft Company and haven’t been paid to date. We have done everything possible including sending letters to you to push the payment but nothing has happened, before I go public on the issue I would like to say this is not how to treat your contractors. My brother is depressed right now but your organization is making profits daily from his construction Before you push more tenders to Linksoft Company, which is more of your associate company, push them to pay the contractors. This is about to get loud, noisy and messy for your publicity”
This is a new low for Safaricom, although this is the first time they are accused of such, it doesn’t come as suprise. Safaricom is rotten
To which the Telco responded by asking him to share his brother’s contact.
It seems nothing materialized from the engagement and thus we now write about this little-known conmanship by Safaricom as promised that ‘this will be made public’.

Kanguchu adds that he also sent all relevant documents to verify my claims via their email but received no response up to today.
He believes some people within the giant thieving Telco have embezzled the funds.
“There are cartels Safaricom Plc and their associate company Linksoft who are determined to delay contractors payments or embezzle their funds, despite Safaricom Plc trying to create a good public image, the rot by the few minority is at its peak,” he claimed
“My brother has since sunk into depression due to your unethical behavior. You are earning a lot of profits but paying contractors is where you draw the line, pay your dues!,” he concluded the series of tweets that were posted in a Twitter thread.
In a putrid manner, Safaricom, which has all the documentation still asked him to share his brother’s number even today.
How evil?
