‘Hakuna Penye Mtanipeleka (I am untouchable),’ Rogue Nairobi MCA Tells Pedestrian She Knocked and Injured
Three weeks ago, we highlighted a case of Willis Gathua, who was knocked down and injured by a car that the nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Nairobi, Ann Catherine Akinyi, was driving.
The accident occurred along Taifa Road in Nairobi Central Business District (CBD).
Mr. Gathua has sought all avenues to have this matter brought to rest but the MCA has been dodgy and misrepresents facts.
Rogue Nairobi MCA Accused Of Cover Up After Car Accident That Injured A Pedestrian
Willis has written to Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, a report was lodged with the police (The MCA tried to get an officer from a station whose Taifa Road – Nairobi CBD jurisdiction doesn’t fall under)
The MCA also filed an insurance claim two months after the accident. Clearly, she doesn’t value human life.
The rogue MCA Ann Catherine Akinyi is reported to have told the media off, when asked about the issue.
Below is the new developments in the story
Hi Nyakundi,
Please get the attached.
The MCA reported the issue to insurance on 8th March 2019, two months after the accident. Also attached will be the inspection report that was done at Nairobi Area police station.
Please see attached letter to Governor Mike Sonko.
In the letter, she wrote to the County Assembly dated 13th March 2019, this was after I did a follow-up.
Please expose the documents below.
Ms. Ann Cathrine Akinyi also lied that the matter is in court which I have not filed in court yet.
When questioned about these issues, she said, “tumpeleke kwenye tunajua” those were words directed at a reporter.
