Corruption at KRA:
All staff captured in raids are pawns in a bigger game to cleanse disgraced current CG mistress and former acting Commissioner for Domestic Taxes and transfer the blame to the current Commissioner who has been in office for a month.
Outgoing failure of a CG who has consistently not met any revenue target is shifting the blame to junior offices to mask his failures and corrupt deals that he has benefited directly at a value of 35Billion
Outgoing CG has consistently lied to the executive about revenue targets while sabotaging the President by enhancing porous systems at KRA and inflating costs of these systems. Currently KRA has more investigative systems than revenue collection systems. This defeats the purpose of revenue collection.
The outgoing CG has created an illegal department in KRA, the very first in the world that focuses exclusively in investigating its own staff usurping the powers of the DCI, DPP, EACC, NIS. They purport to collect intelligence on staff and rogue traders the latter which is a role that meant to be played by the Investigations department which has police officers seconded to it and the market surveillance unit within the DTD department. The current head of the ISO department is a career failure who has been moved from one department to another by his godfathers due his incompetence and propensity to bungle even the simplest of cases. Case in point the alleged raid on businessman Humphrey Kariuki that has now ground to a halt.
Mr Mburu’s life achievement is the number of staff he has sent home on fickle grounds of being unethical. It is interesting that any work being done at KRA currently has to be shadowed by Githii Mburu’s people. It is also imperative to note that his department is made up of 90% from one tribal inclination.
The day of reckoning is fast approaching as KRA staff have vowed to lift the lid on all corrupt dealings of their bosses starting from the outgoing CG. Information including taxpayer data, Whatsapp screenshots of instructions, telephone recorded messages and confidential data of senior managers has been leaked to us to release in the eventuality more staff are targeted in the current crackdown that seems to be favoring those aligned with the outgoing CG and his mistress of many years whom he has failed by not getting the Commissioners job. A quick glance at the list indicates a powder keg of cataclysmic proportions. From that list and information corroborated from the registrar of persons, KRA has employed a record 1215 workers over time from a single village , a hint is that the village is in a county starting with K.

Kamkunji, Muthaiga, Central, Kilimani, Kileleshwa, Gigiri are currently being coached by certain DCI and ISO officers to implicate certain senior managers and two commissioners as a way of buying their freedom. ISO officers are currently conducting operations to get information on the current efforts by staff to raise money for those nabbed in the raid. ISO officers want to victimize all staff involved in that process.
Staff were on Friday the 10th arrested, a day before the arrest, Mburu asked for 5 million shillings from the general vote, 1 million signed by Mburu and 4 million signed by saidimu to facilitate the DCI in the brutalization of staff for over 6 hours. Reports from affected staff indicate a multi-agency team totting heavy firepower swooped into the offices, locked them from the inside, separated staff from taxpayers and started extorting members of staff.
Those who paid were let go at princely sum of up to 700,000/=. Some staff were earlier warned by mburu’s officers of the impeding operation and parted with money to facilitate their freedom. They did not report to work. Those who did not have the money or were reluctant were clobbered, abused, beaten and manhandled into police vehicles and on reaching the police station were additionally threatened they would be in the same cells as murderers and rapists. A bulk of those arrested are barely three years with the authority. None of the known corrupt officers from the alleged “WET” areas were picked.
