Iniquity: immoral or grossly unfair behavior / wickedness and evil
Equitel is Equity Bank’s mobile money platform.
A social media user Mbiyu yesterday posses the question to the rogue Equity Bank, and the bank as usual didn’t provide a satisfactory answer.
‘Equity Bank Who is giving the conmen our details; Equitel line numbers and full names?’, Mbiyu asked on Twitter
12 hours later Equity replied:
‘Hi Mbiyu, we are sorry for this. The security and confidentiality of clients’ information is our top priority. We do not call or text to request account details or PIN. Please remain vigilant and send suspicious messages or phone numbers to 333 for us to investigate’, the bank stated.
‘You have not answered my question. I have a line that I have never used to call anyone, only use it for mobile banking. Conmen are calling me with my full details for the line including my full names. Who gave them my details? You are the only one who know those details’, Mbiyu charged
9 hours later
‘We assure you that your account is safe and secure with us. We do not share our customers details with a third party’, Equity Bank wrote.
Equity Bank: A den of iniquity
This is not the first time a Kenyan is complaining about Equity Bank in this manner.
Equity Bank which boasts of 35 years of existence plastered across its ugly branches in Kenya is a conman’s paradise.
There’s no other explanation as to why Equity continues to operate in impunity if not protection from authorities.
Injustice!
@KeEquityBank Who is giving the conmen our details; Equitel line numbers and full names?
