Online shopping mall, Jumia Kenya, has been hit by allegations of defrauding small vendors on the platform.
Speaking to us on Thursday, October 6, a trader complained that the company is dishonest when setting rates for fees and commissions.

Jumia are short-changing small player and is not honest.
The regular stick is being sold by Carrefour at Sh70 bob.
It is under the grocery section.
1. Its drop-shipping charges should be, Sh250.
2. Jumia should make a commission of 20%.
The total fees and commissions should be Sh256.
How is Carrefour going to make money?
A small player will be forced to pay the fees.
Can Jumia please be more transparent?
Those are all items under grocery, which should have the same fees and commissions,” the source says.
