On Thursday afternoon, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta defended his decision to appoint former Vice President Moody Awori in the arts and culture board saying that young people selected in the same boards end up looting public funds.
“I have been criticized about appointing a 91-year-old for arts and culture, if you were in my shoes what would you do when you see money being stolen left right and center?”
These remarks greatly irked Kenyans who felt insulted and they told off the President in the comments. Majority of them seemed visibly tired of all his excuses and told him if the kitchen had become too hot, then he was free to exit and let someone else do the job.
So Youth are thieves according to our president

How does appointing a 91 year old relate to fighting corruption?
Simply resign, sigh!— MuGun 😎👊🇰🇪 (@mugunjm) December 6, 2018
Nonsense, hogwash, preposterous & dogmatic outbursts age has nothing to do with corruption they all steal.Reasoning like that is pedestrian & infantile, we have parameters speltout in the constitution, age, integrity, track record ,qualification etc.Its his govt. CONTROL IT!

I thinks its time the youth understood how politicians & elite class view them..'As Votes' during election period and as "thieves" when job opportunities arise

Arrest the thieves, Moody won't change the system

How old is old and how young is young? Most or all govt agencies are led by people who are 50, 60 and above years and billion are reported missing every day.

And just like that the youth will remain jobless as the old sleep at work. Then someone will emerge and say the youth should invest in farming as the old stay in offices 🤦🏻♂️

The president has given up. Fighting corruption needs both feet on the ground. I believe if he could publicly cane his MPs to pass death penalties on public embezzlement and denying bail to culprits and also having independent people in the courts, the fight couldn't be easier. 😀
