The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has assured Kenyans that it will investigate allegations of malpractices in the recent recruitment of 10,000 police officers.
The commission’s chairman, Johnston Kavuludi further issued orders that recruitment centres found culpable would be ordered to repeat the exercise and action taken against the recruitment panel, including possible prosecution.
“All claims of impropriety will be fully investigated in the intervening period before the recruits report for training. All recruited persons will also undergo vetting during this period to verify the authenticity of their certificates and suitability to join the service,” Mr Kavuludi said in a statement.
