A Kenyan DJ based in the German capital of Berlin was on Wednesday found dead after going missing over the weekend.
Martin Berlin, popularly known as DJ Moto is suspected to have been hit by a train at the Osloer Strabe in the Gesundbrunne, Berlin where his body was discovered.
Police in Berlin were looking at the CCTV footage to ascertain if and how the Kenyan national was killed by a train.
“We shall watch the footage and find out what really transpired, for now all I can say is that it was an accident,” an officer was quoted by a diaspora media outlet.
The Kenyan community in Berlin and in Germany mourned the deejay as a happy and kind soul.
“Berlin is in sorrow and pain.. Losing a friend, brother and a dj is not easy. I want to thank you much dj Martin Moto for the great Moments we had together.. You invited me in your home, prepared me nice dinner while I was there promoting Awillo Longomba and Salim junior . You then took me to a park in Berlin where I associated with lots of Kenyans.”
“Thank you very much for your kindness, love and support you showed me. I will indeed miss you much.. Rest in peace my friend till we meet again,” Nancy Karotika said while mourning the deceased.
