In October 2018, the government of Kenya (GoK) established the Kenya Prisons Enterprise Corporation, after President Uhuru Kenyatta signed the Kenya Prisons Enterprise Corporation Order of 2018.
The State Corporation, is mandated to expand the scope of the prisons work programs with the aim of unlocking the revenue potential of the prisons industry and ultimately turn it into a reformative and financially self-sustaining entity.
“The new corporation will also contribute to the realization of President Kenyatta’s Big 4 Agenda, particularly food security, affordable housing, and manufacturing,” a statement from State House said.
The corporation will be mandated to organize and manage the assets of the Prisons Department, including 86 prison farms with a total of over 18,225.9 acres of land.
“The production and sale processes under the current Prisons Department’s enterprise directorate are managed by the Kenya Prison Farms Fund and the Kenya Prison Enterprise Fund,” the statement added.
The two Funds will be merged to ensure the new Corporation operates under a typical business model purposely to spur economic growth in the Prisons Department.
Enslaving Kenyan Young Men and Women
Public defender and Kenyan Lecturer Dr. Wandia Njoya has rlthe following to say about the enslavement of Kenyan youths through the Kenya Prisons Enterprise Corporation.
Dr. Njoya argues that the Huduma Namba bill that is being drafted will work hand in hand with the KPEC to enslave Kenyans.
Start
This is what the Huduma Namba bill is about. Creating more reasons to imprison Kenyans so that they can provide unpaid labor to the Kenyatta projects like #Big4Agenda and Northlands City (Kenyattas are building a city in Kiambu).
To understand how savage capitalists like the Kenyattas operate, it is important to understand that they see the avenue to wealth as building property without having to pay salaries for it. So how do you build wealth and power without paying for it?
The best way to build wealth on unpaid labor is through force. Americans used to use racism, Jim crow, and slave laws to ensure that African enslaved couldn’t leave the planation, and if they did, they would be hunted, killed or brought back to the plantation.
Since the 60s, white supremacy (and forms like uthamakistan) cannot directly tell anyone “work and I will not pay you.” So they now imprison us in either debt, or use surveillance and numbers to control us, so that we either work out of fear or out of force.
Since he came into power, Muigai wa Ngina has been turning Kenya into a prison industrial complex through the following moves:
1. Use of debt – HELB loans, CRB, M-Shwari and other products enslave Kenyans to debt and force them to accept low wages from employers.
2. Use of prison labour to make money through the prison enterprises. Now police and courts will have incentives to arrest and jail people so that GoK and tenderpreneurs can make money.
3. Huduma Namba bill that seeks to jail Kenyans or pay 1m for seeking their rights to healthcare and education without a huduma namba. Note that amount, 1m. Not 200 bob. In other words, your labor in prison will be more valuable to Muigai than a few coins in fines.
4. The competency-based curriculum (CBC) is a brainwashing tool that is meant to invade the intimacy and privacy of families, so that by the time a child is done with the system, they know and do only what GoK wants.
We have to understand that Muigai is irredemably white supremacist. He believes that there are people who are born deserving to be rich, and the rest deserving to make people like him rich. The people in the first group are white or Kikuyu, and the rest deserve to make him rich.
Muigai believes that it is God who made him president and the rest of us his slaves. And that’s Kenyan version of tribalism came from white supremacy
So Kenyans must RESIST HUDUMA NAMBA bill. It is an open air prison without handcuffs. It will force us to work for him at no pay.
The details on how to send your opposition to Huduma Namba are listed here LINK; And Interior CS Fred Matiangi has made a mockery of public participation by not providing an email, and hiding the meeting in Westlands at the Kenya School of Government
