The immediate former U.S Ambassador to Kenya Robert F. Godec was on Wednesday evening faced by heavy criticism and trolling from Kenyans on Twitter after he made very controversial tweets regarding the recent Riverside Drive Terror Attack.

In his tweets, Godec looked like he was only mourning the death of one American citizen killed in the attack, and overlooked other innocent Kenyans that lost their lives.
What followed were a string of replies from angry Kenyans who felt extremely disrespected and the lives of their fellow countrymen undervalued.
Bob, your excellency. Let me put diplomacy into your last sentence. "It is with great sadness that 15 people lost their lives one of whom was an American citizen" .

Sir! Even the 14 people who lost their lives are human beings
— Dennis Mwanzia (@Dennismwanzia11) January 16, 2019
So sad, at least show some respect for the other 14 people who died.

Bob, its human goof and you have done so here big time. An apology to Kenyans would suffice pronto. Whatever else you think of us is none of our bussiness.

True colours of Bob. biasness even in eulogizing Death !
— pilot johndouglas (@pilotDouglas) January 16, 2019
Either America does not believe that 13Kenyans were killed (believes or knows there were more casualties) or American Ambassadeur is full of BS to think Kenyans who died dont matter….
— Andrew (@AnotherKenya) January 16, 2019
What about the other 13??
— The Northern Herder (@Abdirahman_all) January 16, 2019
Suppose no American had died would you still report in such a manner your Excellency? What about even mentioning that 14 dead were not of American origin? Respect us!
