The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) Customer Service Week didn’t go as planned. Cases of Non-Payment still bedevil the agency ans some of the aggrieved who are on social media spoke their minds.
Cnyakundi.com receives a lot of complaints concerning the delayed salaries by KNBS
We have learnt that some have been paid, while others are still waiting for their monies.
The reasons for the haphazard paymebs are many and varied as you will see in the attached screenshots.
Self-pity has taken toll on the youths and most of them are blaming themselves for broken screen, missing chargers etc as reasons they thbbk they haven’t been paid.
This is bullshit and the Ministry knew better that the gadgets would suffer tear and wear.
Why penalise the kids? Isn’t this a conduit for looting their money?

Hi Cyprian,
Kindly re-expose this government which has not yet paid our dues 1 Month after the completion of the August 2019 census.
I understand that the payment ought to have concluded by 4th of October 2019 going by what KNBS MD announced 2 weeks ago. Embakasi enumerators and supervisors have still not yet been paid.

Hello Cyprian Nyakundi,
I have chosen to contact you because of your vocal and influential status. I know when I pass through you, my message will be delivered to the concerned government agencies.
I am one of the Registration Assistants who were hired by the government to do the Huduma Namba registration exercise.
Unfortunately, they paid us our dues in small instalments and until today they have never finished paying. The exercise ended in May and now we are in October and the government still owes us.
Please address this issue because when you air it, they will listen and release our payment.
We are jobless youths and when they continue withholding our money for months, they are just adding to our problems.
Please address this issue so that the government can do the necessary.
Kind regards.
A few days ago, we further asked Kenyan youths who took part in the Census as registration agents if they’ve benn paid, below were their responses:
