Hi Cyprian,
I write to you as a concerned employee.
I can no longer confidently plan for my future given the rot and impunity that goes on in our commercial department.
Employee turnover from two years back to date is alarming, especially so as it is being kept under wraps to protect the powers that be i.e one commercial director and his circle of cronies in the sales and HR departments.
This has resulted in the exit of over ten employees exiting on crafted and malicious grounds, others forced to resign under duress.
Case in point the untimely death of Thomas Mlaghe shy of two months after being exited due to stress and depression complications owing to the inhuman and traumatizing experience of unlawful termination.
Not too long ago, we have seen one John Ndumia, who by the way has
18 plus years of experience being put on a performance contract despite having a credible track-record was unfairly terminated.
Close to this termination, we had James Macharia, Peter Mghendi, John Muli, James Onsango, Edgar Odipo, to mention but a few, all of whom were targeted and frustrated out of the company under the watch and protection of top management and legal department.
Others who were forcefully exited earlier under the pretext of redundancy include Bernard Ondieki, Philip Munene, Benson Ndaiga whom all have ongoing cases in court pursuing justice against the company.
None of the above ex-employees were given a chance to be heard or given opportunities to serve in other departments that matched their skill set despite new employees being taken on board.
It sickens to see the impunity and rot that continues to eat into our company like cancer. From immorality within the company e.g Ndugwa assigning one Onsango to get him college girls on customer visit trips of which the said trips of which the said girls give very interesting feedback!!
There is proof to show that the director’s decision is emotionally and in some instances sexually driven be it in promotion or demotion of employees and highly biased on corrupt favours to his close sales cronies, for example, Caroline Mbugua, Wilson Sitima and Steve Ananda.
One is also alleged to have had a sexual affair with the commercial director giving her protection to date. Some have trucks with transporters, warehouses employing their relatives.
Some even sleep with their customers. Conflict of interest cannot be overemphasized under such circumstances.
The selfish and inhumane actions have caused a lot of financial
and psychological torment to the affected employees with some unable to secure employment since their exit.
