DEAR NYAKUNDI,
We as residents of Elgeyo Square Apartments located on Elgeyo Marakwet road are being harassed, intimidated, threatened and even fought; all in a bid to illegally evict us from our houses because certain powerful forces in city hall want our houses.
We are hearing that it is the work of Governor Mike Sonko and Former Starehe Member of Parliament Mr. Simon Mbugua through a rogue auctioneer by the name Zackary Baraza of Suima Auctioneers who has bribed the police at Kilimani and are in cahoots with them.
The same Baraza has sent goons in the premises to harass residents. The goons are even a threat to children because upon trying to evict us by forcefully entering our houses they stole several items from different houses.
These are just plain thugs!
Untouchables
The said auctioneer with his arrogance tells us that there’s nothing we can do to him, because he has close links to both president Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto.
The below photos show the illegal eviction that was carried out and he has threatened to come back this week, yet we have a court order and the police have refused to be served with it.
What can we do?
Please help us in exposing this injustice as our houses are to be sold and we to be thrown out. Yet there is an ongoing case.
Elgeyo Square Apartments
Elgeyo square apartments are former Kenya Posta houses. The house is located two gates after Elgeyo Gardens, where there is a rough road on the right.
The person shown above is the arrogant guy who boasts that he has links to state house and city hall and that we can do nothing to him.
He is also said to have links in court rooms, where he gets fake court orders to harass his opponents and common mwananchi like us.
Below is a video of them breaking into someone’s house and they have threatened to come back this week but at the same time the hired goons are told to stay in the residence after forcefully evicting 3 people and the police have refused to help.

History of the houses
The issue is the houses belonged to Teleposta; 37 units were sold, where those people who used to work Teleposta were illegally evicted.
The owners of the remaining 13 houses went to court to stop the illegal eviction and have been in court ever since seeking to be given offers to buy the houses but Teleposta, we understand have a buyer in mind and are not willing to give the offers to their said former employees as a matter of first priority.
The issue of distress was because the court granted an injunction to stop payment of rent until the matter was resolved.
Now it is believed the governor Mike Sonko and Simon Mbugua want the land and are trying to frustrate the said occupants to leave so that they can have their way since the ongoing court case hinders them from doing anything on the 2 acre piece of land.
The said advocate being used in this illegal process is KALE MAINA from Kale Maina & Bundotich Advocates.
The hired goons are still in the compound and just yesterday 5 water pumps were stolen and upon reporting, the police gave us lip service and the head of O.C crime Kilimani said his hands are tied.
Below is the O.B we took yesterday for the thefts that occurred.
