If there’s a quick arrest that officers from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) should do, it is that of Donholm Primary School Head Teacher Mr. Johnson Nzioka.
School principals, curiously live like kings from a small salary. Why?
The answer can be found in the manner in which they concoct needs so as to extort parents.
This school is run like the stock market for fleecing parents.
Despite our warnings, the Ministry of Education ignored the plight of parents.
At Donholm Primary School, parents pay Sh200 per week for a Saturday tuition. The money is said to cater for lunch and tuition, yet extra or holiday tuition is banned in Kenya. The unofficial school fee is Sh2900 per term. On top of this, parents are supposed to cough up Sh50 per day for lunch, Sh10 for porridge.
The headteacher Johnson Nzioka might be looting the money because he can. He has clout as the National Chariman Kenya Primary Schools Heads Association (KEPSHA). Mr. Nzioka is also a member of the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).
The sad part of this school is that if a pupil fails to bring the monies, they are beaten like prisoners.
‘It is like a concentration camp’, one parent said, adding that the pupils are then told not to tell their parents that they’ve been beaten.
The threat of expulsion in 2022
Donholm Primary School has timed the most crucial moment; KCPE, so as to extort he parents one last time.
“Wuehh! Mimi hii donholm primary school is a school of robbers it’s an underground version of cheap private school, not a public school. Imagine ten days to KCPE watoto wanafukuzwa juu hawajalipa 300 Bob for PTA and 100 for teachers’ motivation. What is this teachers’ motivation? aren’t they being paid salary by the government? Not forgetting we pay tuition fees for Saturday’s separately with the normal tuition fee. Every Saturday we pay Sh150 per child, every month Sh1000 per child, exams Sh400 per child, lunch 50bob, uji at Sh10bob. Every exam papers in class Sh30 Bob each exam. Does every public school do all this? Or is it just this Donholm robbery primary school? CS Magoha anajua hii kweli? Please help me help other less fortunate parents like me by doing a tweet about this stupid school”, a parent complained.

The irate parent wondered why it was a must for all kids to drink Uji yet some were living near the school and could dash home for a free cup, or better still didn’t fancy drinking uji, yet they were being forced.
“Uji pia bado wanalazimisha watoto usipolipa unachapwa, even if you don’t drink it just pay…that’s the rule”.
Help these parents, share this article with CS Magoha.
“Then tunaitishwa 1200 each parent eti ya kulisha supervisors and candidates during exams”, a parent complained.
