Panic has gripped CGTN Africa after several of its employees have resigned for better pay and working conditions at BBC which is launching its bureau in Nairobi in a few months. BBC is recruiting and is targeting all the media houses in kenya.
People leaving CGTN (formerly CCTV Africa) include a TV news director Valentine Macharia from broadcast department ran by Hu Yu, a sports reporter, Celestine Karoney (the bureau chief told her she can go because she is overpaid) and a technical operator Hambert Mashua. This is just to mention a few who’ve been targeted to work for BBC from the station.
CCTV Africa is ran by the chinese and is a hub of racism where foreign employees are favoured against local staff and this is evident when it comes to salaries where foreign employees doing the same job as local are paid up to eight times more.
A good example is the editing department where some South African employees who are less qualified than the local staff are paid over five times the local employee who does all the work. A good example is Leeroy who was brought by the head of that department Shen Jin, the dude was taught to edit news by local employees because he had no idea how to do news, yet his pay is more than five times the local employees who taught him the job.
The locals salaries are wanting especially when one of the foreign employee’s, after taking one too many, said that his rent is equivalent to a local’s salary.
The management has come up with monthly bonuses that are pegged on how much you run personal errands (kissing arse) for your supervisor and not on merit. By personal errands, I mean taking their cars for service, bailing them out of traffic offences, renewal of driving licences and work permits all in the name of hefty bonuses. The worst hit departments are broadcast ran by Hu Yu and technical department ran by Nicholas and Julia.
The worst culprit is Hu Yu, she runs the department with the communist mentality and her decisions are final. Some people are so afraid of her that the mention of her name send shivers down their spine. They will tell her all the personal things about local staff just to be paid back with hefty bonuses.
The outgoing bureau chief mr Pang Xhinua doesn’t call the shots, the two ladies Hu Yu and Shenjin are the ones running that station with an iron fist. Rumour has it that the bureau chief is leaving and there might be a replacement soon. Reminds us of Royal Media Services, where while Wachira Waruru is the male figurehead, the people who call the shots are Latifah Ngunjiri, Faridah Karoney and Monica Kiragu because they report to Mrs. Macharia, the matriarch of feminism in Kenyan media.
Wachira Waruru is a bitch-nigga. Stooge planted there to promote feminism and give it a human face. Sitting duck. He probably washes the wife’s underwear back at home. Weak guy who has allowed Citizen TV to chock feminist crap down the throats of helpless, voiceless Kenyans.
Hu Yue is a dude-like woman, her walking style and posture are those of a man and that is why she has chosen to be in a lesbian relationship with Shen Jin being the girlfriend. At one time Hu Yue was threatening to get one of the drivers sacked. The driver also had something up his sleeves and told her that if he gets fired, that bitch will be forced to leave the country and she went down on her knees apologizing to the guy.
While all this is happening, the human resource office ran by Bright Vision Media never listens to employees complaints because they are also under the Chinese. if one takes a complaint, it is overlooked as long as a Chinese is involved. We also learnt that what the locals get as salaries is not what is reflected in the mother company in China. All other CCTV bureaus around the world pay their employees using international standards.
The two women, Shen Jin and Hu Yue are women above the age of 33yrs. In china, once a lady attains that age they are considered rejects and no one can marry them. they have brought those frustrations to kenya and treat Kenyans like dirt.
