Staffers at Mediheal hospital owned by Former Kesses MP Dr. Swarup Mishra are lamenting salary delays that have been the norm at the facility and are always highlighted on this site.
The disturbed staffers have threatened to down their tools if nothing is done. In many WhatsApp conversations, the editor of this site has seen, most of the staffers can’t meet rent obligations, feed their families and even pay school fees for their kids.
According to reports, Swarup Mishra is still holidaying in India and visiting his rural village in India, where he immigrated from.
Most staffers have confirmed not receiving their two or three months’ salaries with no communication from management.
Mishra’s financial muscles dwindled after he was floored in the August 2022 elections. Mishra was contesting as an independent candidate and lost to Julius Rutto who was contesting under a UDA ticket.
Mishra who also served as the Vice-chairman of the Health Committee in the National Assembly was accused of defrauding patients through fraudulent insurance claims. The hospital was at the centre of an EACC and NHIF investigation on insurance fraud.
The former MP has also been linked to organ smuggling sagas something he has vehemently denied though that is disputed.
