“I’m waking up in the middle of the night because I’m worried about something or there’s heaviness. I try to make sure I get a workout in, although there have been periods throughout this quarantine, where I just have felt too low. It’s a familiar feeling for many Americans,” Michelle said.
Mrs Obama also talked about racial protests in America after the of George Floyd as dehumanising and exhausting.
While commenting on the prevailing covid-19 circumstances, the former first lady expressed frustrations with people who can’t follow simple measures as wearing masks.
She stressed that US has been tough and challenging times in the past but covid-19 posed a unique moment in the history of the country.
“I just wanted to check in with you all because a lot of you have been checking in on me after hearing this week’s podcast. First things first—I’m doing just fine. There’s no reason to worry about me,” she said.
