Following our earlier article that Govt has dumped people inside PrideInn and Boma Hotels, it has now emerged that those that were taken to Kenya School of Government, thinking that it’ll be for free have been ordered to part with Ksh10, 000.
“We are here at KSG and they’ve said that we need to pay Ksh10k per day, for 24 days”, said a person on condition of anonymity.
Despite the court order on 28th February 2020, that all passengers from the China Southern Airlines be quarantined at a military facility. This should have given the govt a head way for using the large swathes of land owned by the military to do this, but it refused.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), Africa is at high risk from the spread of the Covid-19 because of the fragile healthcare systems and the absence of vital equipment such as the respiratory support system.
Instead of quarantining the people who are arriving at this point, the Govt has resorted to saying one thing at one point and another thing a few days later.
Despite Denis Ole Itumbi sharing a video that Govt has decided to quarantine people at the Kenya School of Government for free, the reality on the ground is different.
They are being asked to pay Ksh10,000 per day.
Itumbi is lying in this tweet, it is not for free
