The director of Mizpah Ambassadors School, Samuel Kimani Karanja, has been accused of mismanaging the learning institution.
According to a source who reached out to this blog, the staff at the school, which is located in the Bahati area’s Maili Kumi centre, have gone without pay for the last three months and face intimidation and termination if they dare to question the situation.
The school has reportedly lost five teachers in quick succession.
Complaints have also been raised about the school’s poor diet.
Pupils are said to have been given ugali and kale every evening for supper, which has resulted in a buildup of acid in their stomachs.
The school is part of the Mizpah House of Prayer, which is owned by Apostle Jesse Karanja and also operates Mizpah TV.
There are rumours that the director has misused school funds, organizing trips that the pupils do not participate in and failing to offer refunds.
One parent, whose wife works as a secretary at the school, was even arrested after complaining about the director allegedly slicing his wife.
In light of these serious allegations, it is imperative for the Ministry of Education to launch investigations into the Director Mr Karanja and the entire management of the school.
The teachers who have not received their pay deserve justice.
The pupils, who are being served unbalanced meals, deserve a safe and nutritious learning environment.
The public deserves to know the truth about what is happening at the school.
We shall be closely monitoring the situation and give subsequent updates on this developing story.
