Hi Cyprian Nyakundi,
I am a resident of Rubia and have chosen to hide my identity
I am writing to you with the hope that you shall highlight an issue that has been plaguing Rubia estate in Langata for months.
Nairobi water CEO Engineer Muguna in cahoots with the water cartels has been deliberately starving Rubia estate of water so as to ensure the water sellers have a desperate customer base that they can exploit at will.
Whenever Rubia residents call him on his cell phone numbers (0715832540 and 0722524415) he will be quick to send his staff to the houses of the complainants with the full knowledge that the people he has sent cannot resolve the issue.
His staff have on numerous occasions told Rubia estate residents who have complained that the issue lies in Kabete; the water pressure from Kabete (the source is low) and it can be adjusted subject to senior management approval.
This has been brought to the attention of the low voiced and at times rude Engineer Muguna but he has stubbornly refused to heed the advice of his technical staff in a bid to protect his cash cow.
It is said that some other estates in Langata are suffering a similar torturous experience because Muguna and his fellow thugs want to continue selling water.
Please expose them in the hope that the publicity will change the fate of the residents.

The NMS Boss Mohamed Badi is said to want to dismnatle this cartel by arresting leaders of this cartel.
This behavior has also seen another water and sewerage company in Machakos County disconnect water and make the residents of Greatwall Gardens pay through their noses.
It is said, the owners of that estate, Erdemann Group have their own metres where the water bills per month can reach as high as Sh18,000.
Kenyans are gullible.
In May, after the appointment of Muguna, NMS boss Badi protested the move.
NMS wrote to NCWSC Chairperson Ms Beryl Odinga asking that the recruitment process for NCWSC managing director be suspended.
“Please note NMS which is now undertaking the transferred functions that include water and sanitation is a key stakeholder in the process. However, as you are aware, NMS is currently setting up relevant structures and hence you are requested to suspend the recruitment process. Kindly note and action accordingly’, wrote Major General Mohammed Abdalla Badi.
The board ignored Badi.
