Two months after exposing Pathcare Kenya Laboratories for shoddy COVID-19 test protocols. The rogue lab went on to fire three staff and victimised several more instead of working to improve services.
According to a source, the CEO Dr Kiran Radia went on a PR overdrive to try to sweep under the carpet, the ills exposed.
She paid washed-up media personality Sheila Mwanyigha to cleanse his hospital through an interview done on YouTube and posted on Sheila’s Twitter handle.
The CFO Charity Njuguna also victimized and engineered sacking of 3 staff who by then were seconded to COVID-19 section. One person from data capture, finance and marketing were sacked. Ms Njuguna is still targeting several more.
The operations manager is said to have done an internal memo warning staff against such exposé and advised staff to deny any such.
How we exposed Pathcare Laboratories on 18th November 2020
Pathcare Kenya Laboratories is accused of putting money first before safety.
A mole tells cnyakundi.com that the laboratory lacks full compliance of COVID-19 protocols which endangers the lives of both staff and clients.
“Some of its staff, due to lack of full compliance with Covid protocols caught the virus. Whenever a staff is confirmed positive, he/she is sent on 2 weeks leave. Upon resumption, the staff reports directly without re-confirmation of their status”, the source wrote to cnyakundi.com
Furthermore, Pathcare Laboratories is said to be using untrained staff to conduct the SARS-COV-2 tests, but beats audit by posing qualified medical personnel.
“Some of the staff conducting working in Covid section are not properly trained and/or are not certified for this work. Some are marketers or staff seconded from other departments. However, qualified staff are paraded during audits”, the source added.
