Mutindwa footbridge is complete and has been in use for months now, however, the covers from the elements have not been installed.
There’s massive looting at the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA), that has seen the management take advantage of such ‘small’ projects to fleece Wananchi.
A reliable source confirms that the footbridge covers run out and they are waiting for them to be imported.
Question is, how can they start work without all the materials in place?
Is this one of those schemes where one hides materials and then says they have run out, but in real sense they are hidden in a warehouse on Mombasa road?
How much money is the Director General Silas Kinoti making by importing the covers?
